A lot of times, in the shower, I forget whether I've already washed my face or not. Sometimes I'll end up washing it twice, or, actually, I can't really be sure about that. I'll be standing there, thinking about whatever while I let my body go through the automatic motions of washin' up, and then I'll have a little break, and stop, and think, "damn, where was I?" I'm not sure if I'm going prematurely senile, or it's one of those mad scientist things, or if I just have some neural off-by-one error that causes me to want to do the last step of my scrubbing loop twice.
